AgentMail is infrastructure for giving AI agents real email inboxes, not a consumer inbox with an AI layer added on top.

## What it does

The company describes an email inbox API for AI agents: create inboxes, send, receive and search messages, and give an agent an identity it can use in workflows. The current homepage offers a free start with no credit card and links to developer docs. The product’s original wedge is clear. Gmail and other legacy providers were not built for creating many agent-specific inboxes, programmable lifecycle management and agent-oriented sending limits. AgentMail’s value is the infrastructure boundary around the inbox.

## Why I’d look closer

Email is still a coordination layer for agents. An agent can need an address to receive a verification message, communicate with a customer, monitor a workflow or authenticate with another service.
