## What it does

The product is a mix of automation and named human responsibility. [Balance’s homepage](https://getbalance.ai/) says its agent, Bea, categorizes transactions, reconciles accounts, matches documents and answers finance questions through Slack, WhatsApp or email. Accountants review the work and sign it off. The homepage says it supports VAT, annual accounts, tax, payroll, management accounts and cash-flow forecasting. That is a broader operating model than another dashboard that leaves the founder to interpret the numbers.

## Why I’d look closer

The company’s current material also gives the buyer a useful fit signal. It names workflows for marketplace fees and COGS, Stripe revenue recognition, delivery
