PermitPortal is trying to catch the expensive surprise before a real-estate developer signs the LOI.

## What it does

PermitPortal describes itself as an AI operating system for land development and government affairs. The current [homepage](https://permitportalapp.com/) shows a workflow built around site selection, entitlement risk and schedule monitoring. It watches agendas, minutes, ordinances, roll calls, water and utility actions, and local press, then maps an event to the approval it affects.

The useful output is not another alert feed. The homepage shows a project schedule with events translated into dates and actions: a water agreement can move a site plan by 10–14 weeks; an opposition petition can change hearing preparation; an ordinance can affect a project before the team notices it. The company presents those examples as product behavior, not as an independent case study.

## Why I’d look closer

PermitPortal’s first buyer is a developer or utility team
